Title: My new avatar
Post by: Doraemon on November 11, 2003, 08:26:54 AM
Is it too big? Is it a little ridiculous? the size I mean. Still not as bad as some here: http://www.girlsaloud.co.uk/bb/viewtopic.php?t=14287&highlight=&sid=657599545c1b20f5be5928b83eda8971

...hey, i've got a star to my name! Is that because I deliver service with a smile and always ask if you want fries with that?

Well, do you want fries with that?
*smile*

Probably based on the number of messages you post.

It is quite large.  The rules stated something like 80X80.  Might want to resize it before Benj reveals his meanstreak.

I don't mind it.  It's a good image.  Will I mind it 4 months from now?  That's another question.

Yes, let's please keep it to 80x80, if you don't mind, lest I wield my administrative powers. :( Maybe you could size it down to a max 80 height and a proportional width.  I appreciate you asking, though.

Thanks,
Benj

Still looks like butter ghost to me.  Of course, if you change it soon, this post will look stupid.

If I change my avatar, it will make that post look stupid.

Of course since you own the board, you CAN delete it!  So that does nothing.  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Better than the old one, but it looks flowery.  Not that there's anything wrong with that.  It's a perfectly acceptable avatar choice.  Not one that I'd make, simply because I'm not so inclined.  There's nothing wrong with it.  It just doesn't agree with my personality.

By the by, Jeremy's new avatar looks smashing.

Is it possible to create a picture like on the paint document on Windows and use that as the avatar?  If so, how?

Yes.  Well, if Paint can save your image as a GIF.  You'll have to save your art as a GIF file no bigger than 80x80 pixels, then host it on a server somewhere so you can link to it via a URL in the Profile section.  Otherwise, if you want, send me your image and I'll convert it to GIF format.  I could even add it to the Avatar gallery, but then other people will be able to use it too.  Let me know.

Or you can use the "upload image" feature, where the image is copied off your comp onto the RAS server, if Benj chooses to enable it (I think he should)

Excellent work.  Looks like you've been posting quite a bit.  If only RAS had more shining examples of forum devotion like you. :)

Still waiting for avatars from the "Derwood Collection."

I never got on that.  I'll have to get back on that.

**Does a salute**

And no, DJ, he did not mean there would be more Derwoods, he meant more 80 by 80 pictures that I send him that might be RAS avatars.  I sent one, but it was crap.

And I think it rather wild that I've posted more messages on here than even BENJ!  Benj runs the site and this forum, and I'm still top poster!  WOW!

There, now see!  I'm modest, except for the idea that I'm top poster.  But if the 2 of you keep flooding like that, I'm gonna be like a little weakling.

This is probably why EZBoard only lets you post a message once a minute.

After we began to reply to each other that night, we both tried to get to 200 first. And you know how important that is  :)

Of course, I made it first.

Actually I wasnt racing you, and I only reply to certain posts not every damn one on the board!! And I would rather stay behind the two of you because it's rediculous to fight over who has the most posts, plus benj'll probably smite us all for posting to many non-sensical things.

BTW, I looked up smite on the online dictionary.  Smote and smitten are both words.

I always thought smitten was when you liked someone a whole lot

Title: No
Post by: Derwood Bowen on December 30, 2003, 03:35:37 PM
Liking someone a whole lot and smitten, I'm pretty sure, are completely different things.

BTW, I didn't participate in the race to 200, so I'm completely neutral in the argument.  I was already ahead.
