I know it's ancient, but I've been playing Halo (the Xbox original) recently and I'm loving it.  I got it years ago but never got around to playing it.  Cool stuff.

Also, I wanted to tell Doraemon that I bought Animal Crossing: Wild World earlier this month.  It's pretty cool.  I think I prefer the GC version, though.  It seems more cheery and happier somehow -- the DS version feels more like visiting an alien landscape that's not as homey-feeling  The whole world is on this giant cylinder that rotates when you walk and it completely freaked me out the first time I played it.  You can get used to it, but it's still weird.  The best thing about the DS version is that it has a bunch of new tiny things that I can't think of right now, the best of which is probably all kinds of new, more fulfulling interactions with the animal residents of the town (new stuff for them to ask you, stuff to do, they can come visit and have birthdays, etc).

Anyway, the game is cool in its own way.  But I need somebody else out there who also has Wild World so I can visit your town over the Eeenternet.  Doraemon officially has to buy this game and a DS so he can visit RAS land (actually, my town's name is "Hoy").

Anybody else who wants to talk about video games they're currently playing here can do so...at their own peril!  Just kidding.  Go ahead.

I've been playing Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (the first one before he went all crappy and goth) and it's an absolutely beautiful game to look at - you and the camera have total freedom of movement of the kind i've not seen before, and the action manages to take on a balletic quality. However it can be very frustrating - theres not enough save points for my liking and some parts are develishly tricky. So it requires persistance.

I've also been playing Puyo Pop or whatever its called, also on Gamecube, which is a pleasant enough, budget-priced puzzle game, which happens to have some of the most irritating voice acting I've ever heard.

I also played a Megaman RPG on Gamecube can't remember what it's called but it's turnbased with random enemy encounters - which always gets on my nerves. Having said that it replicates the anime style perfectly. It's a style I like but I don't tend to get all that excited about robots - nomatter how big their guns are.

The DS is still stored in my brain under a category marked "Hmmm..." along with robotic dogs and dressing up as a woman. Have you played Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney? I've heard that's brilliant.

Oh, and you still have to get Beyond Good and Evil on Gamecube.

Best. Game. Ever? Possibly.

Also, I have still yet to play "Beyond Good and Evil."  I'll buy it if you buy a Nintendo DS and Animal Crossing.  Sound fair?  Ok, deal!

But that game is practically free these days. If any game deserved do well it's that. Unfortunately, people are lame.

Upon thinking about it, maybe I accidentally edited my reply to your post and did something weird.  Again, it's crazy...this thread is twisting and warping my mind!  :smt105

Anyhoo...behold - a comprehensive list of games that should be made into movies, give or take a few odd choices (Jet Set Willy?)!?

If they really made Grim Fandango directed by Miyazaki I would only try to hump the DVD. Some things are best left as they are.

I'm disappointed. They got grim fandango, but missed monkey island. Also;
I hate Jack Black.

In a way though, they've already made Monkey Island: The Movie. It's called Pirates of The Carribean. I'm pretty sure that movie would not exist without that game.

I hate Jack Black also. He was totally ego-tripping in school of rock, which by the way, is just Sister Act with guitars! get over it!

Guitar hero rocks my socks off. But dead or alive four is the  purtiest game I have ever seen so far. I heart my 360.

Also, Jack Black is a god among men. Tenacious D kicks ass. 'Nough said.

I was all delighted that you weren't dead.  But now I find myself less delighted.

Congradulations. Sad

Well, let me explain further, I have been a fan of black since his early days on mr. show, and the orginal tenacious D series. It's true he has been in his fair share of crappy movies, but I am still a fan.

That may make sense.  I'll admit that at first I was curious about him, but now I just hate him.

Metroid should be made into a movie...and Maaaaaaybe Zelda, as long as it wasn't super-Japanese-gayish.
