So I decided to get this after a recomendation and after reading favourable reviews of it. I like what I hear. On this album, atleast, they sound like a vaguely country-tinged Interpol, I guess. The sound is rich, noisy and energetic. It rocks with a surreal wit behind the lyrics and a poetic, often profound, wisdom. The sound is driven by a rich, electric guitar sound which is apparantly thanks to the involvement of Stephan Malkmus. There is really not a bad song on the album - although it is shorter than I would like (10 tracks at just over half an hour in total)

If you like Tanglewood Numbers, you'd REALLY like one of his better albums.  Try Natural Bridge or Starlight Walker.  I recently caught them at the Cat's Cradle in Carboro, NC on their first ever tour.  It rawked really hard.
