It's not my kind of music, but it's not bad at all.

Hurrah for Derwood, Music, and Forum-based Activity!

I thought we were talking about the womans basketball team
http://www.wnba.com/sparks/ but I was a bit confused about what kind of music they would produce....

Just got another Sparks album in the mail today, this one called "Introducing Sparks."  Which is strange, because it's their 7th album.

This was not exactly the sound I expected out of Sparks, it actually has a bit of a Beach Boys-esque sound to it.  Probably not one of their strongest efforts, but that's not saying it's not good.  It's just different for Sparks fans, which is, after all, what Sparks were good at.

Cool.  I'm just waiting for the new Paul McCartney album to land on June 5th.  New TMBG album in CD form in July as well.

Okay, 3 more reviews...

Propaganda-This album and Kimono My House could almost have gone together as a double album.  Propaganda is a really good, solid, rock album, complete with Ron's very intelligent lyrics.  This album is one that features Sparks at their best!

Indiscreet-Another great album.  This one features a bit more diversity in its music, but the orchestral arrangements are well thought out, well planned, and Ron was at his best at songwriting.  Once again, high recommendation.

Big Beat-A bit less complex, this album sounds more like an early punk album, although the lyrics still have that wit that Sparks were always known for.  It's not a bad album at all, Sparks were still kicking butt with this one.

So, there you go, three of the good ones!

By the way, Paul McCartney's new album is awesome.  Pretty damn good.
