I've just heard the band "Sparks" for the first time (Specifically the song "Metaphor") and I was impressed; they remind me of like a cross between They Might Be Giants, Talking Heads and The Residents. Anyone  know anything about this band?

I have.  They've been on Dr. Demento a few times, with such songs as "Mickey Mouse" and "Batteries not Included."  Search around for them.

I just found out they also did "This Town Aint Big Enough For The Both Us" which is a song I've heard before but I just didn't connect it with them. Infact, for ages I thought it was Kate Bush, a mistake that sould be pretty understandable upon hearing the song.

So, I guess Sparks made a brand new album.  Dr. Demento played a brand new song of theirs on his show today, a song called "Perfume."

Well, I went to gemm.com and ordered 3 Sparks albums.

A Woofer in Tweeters Clothing (their 2nd album)
Angst in my Pants (their 11th album)
Hello Young Lovers (their 20th and latest album)

Each of those has one song on them which I've heard on Dr. Demento.

Maybe sometime soon I'll get Music you can dance to.

I also found the Sparks audio player on their official website, so I've gotten to hear some of their older stuff.  And I could kinda see where you get Kate Bush from "This Town," yet I'm not so sure it's really that close.

Just got to listen to "A Woofer in Tweeter's Clothing" and "Angst in my Pants" today.  Personally, I think Angst is the better of the 2.  Not sure how it'll compare to Hello Young Lovers yet, waiting for that one to show up in the mail.
