I doubt anyone puts by recomendations into genuine, bonafide action but here goes...

What I'm recomending this time is a 2 disc compilation of "Outsider Music." It's a genre which is problematic to define but this CD basically spans music that was created with the greatest earnest, but is just bad, and the impossibly weird creations of people who have slipped under the radar. In short this is the musical equivalent of "kitsch" in art. The thing is, by traditional logic, a lot of these are really bad, but they just exhude an irrisistable, naive charm.

Songs include one by a cult leader who decided to sing his gospel in the popular syle of the day - imagine Frank Sinatra singing lines like "Give no thought of where you are for the master is always with you"

It also has a song called "Standing in A Trash Can (Thinking About You)"

This is by far one of the funniest, most entertaining albums i've ever heard. Get it. Trust me you won't regret it. It really is one of those "so bad it's good" things.

Some days I go about looking for random bits of music.

Your posts are one of the places I look.
