Ok.  If I hear from anyone other than (actually, in addition to) you three guys, whom I know always want to hear new music, then I will get down and funky with my recording equipment and record some new songs.  And Doraemon doesn't count.

So, Person-X, it's up to you.

Prove to me that after 2 3/4 years at this thing we actually have more than 4 fans who want to hear new music.

Oh, oh! Pick me, pick me! XD

Yes, a fan who wants to hear new music and is not affiliated with you in any way. They are not myth!

If you'd really like, I can drag three more friends in here who feel the same way. :P

Uh oh!  He went and did it!  That's it.  New songs for everybody!

By the way, thanks for posting.  It would be nice to get some fresh blood around here as well, so we'd all love it if you could get your friends on the forum.

It's surprising, but Jeremy and I really don't hear that much feedback from people on our music -- even from people who's requests we used!  It's been rather disappointing and discouraging for us, especially considering we don't make any money on this.  So honestly it's hard to get over that and keep working many hard hours to produce new songs (each song these days has at least 20 hours of work put into it).  It's kind of like "what's the point?" if we rarely hear from the fans.

Just so you know, he doesn't mean he literally needs fresh blood.  He's not a vampire, and neither are any of us.

It is rather sad that fans aren't responding, even if their requests were used.  Somehow, it seems to me like your site is slowly dying.

Yikes! I understand how that must be discouraging. Fan support is important so you don't feel like you're working so hard just to get indifferent reactions...

Well, I see the worth of sticking around, so expect to see more of me. ^^ I'll be sure to convince some friends to come on down here and post (although how likely they are to stay is beyond my control...). It's refreshing to see a forum like this, actually. It follows something great, and seems to have good regulars who type properly! Refreshing it is, yes.

Better get crackin' on those new songs, eh? I'm watching you! XP

Edit: Swooshed! If he were a vampire, we'd have laminated him by now. :P

Well, these sites don't run themselves, so when the people who run them don't have much time to put into constantly promoting them, then things get stale.  It's always an uphill battle to achieve anything.. it requires thousands of hours of time and effort for years to get any payoff on any new project.  Unfortunately, this year I've had to face reality and get on with my life, so to speak, so I can actually pay for the food I'm eating.  As a result, I haven't had the time to pour all my efforts into RAS as I have in the past.

It's really a shame that the site isn't more alive when I'm not around.. but the songs don't write themselves, and the people don't seem to come unless I'm advertising, which costs moolah.  Even then, many don't stick around. Sad  The Internet seems to be all about me me me, take take take, without giving back -- if I must be a crotchety old man for a moment.

But fear not, my friend, we have not given up on RAS.  It has just been in hibernation for a while.  I hope to bring it back to full bloom before long.  Let's hope that I'll have the luxury of time and money to achieve it.
