The new album by Modest mouse. This album is jumping to the top of the list. While "float on" the single is a rather catchy tune it does not capture the bands style in the least. However it is a good song. in fact there are no songs that I consider skip worthy on this cd. And thats saying alot. I can listen to the whole thing through and still want more. Also, I'd like to say that the vocals sound eerily like benj and jeremy on a lot of the tracks. But I would recomend it. And at $8.99 there is no reason you should not buy this album.

I like this album a lot. The other modest mouse albums are pretty much "meh" to me... they usually have a couple of good tracks but the rest are just bleh. But I agree, Good News For People Who Love Bad News is good all the way through. The Horn Intro track is pretty ingenous, and also the same sound is heard at about halfway through the album, on The Devil's Workday.

I think I heard one of their songs on the radio, and I liked it a lot. Sounded a bit Talking Heads and David Bowie-ish.
