Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane over The Sea.

This is what I mostly listened to during my 3 day holiday in Ireland. "To be sure, to be sure", "Top o' the mornin'" and all that. Now lets get to what really matters. This is  Great stuff, if difficult to get into. How to describe it? Clearly drug -nduced psychadellic folk rock maybe. Stand out tracks for me are Oh, Comely, a majestic 8 minute epic of a song Communist Daughter and Holland, 1945 as well as the "King Of Carrot Flowers" songs.

Try it. You might like it.

I have also been listening to The Pollyphonic Spree. Like the Beatles in their Psychadellic phase, but there's more of them. Your hippy tollerance threshold has to be high, though.

Love Neutral Milk Hotel. Really. Most of the songs on my mp3 player are Neutral Milk Hotel songs.  I guess like Two Headed Boy best, its the most fun to sing.  Song Against Sex got an image stuck in my head, I ended up painting it.   :?

Any particular ones you'd recommend?

I like Circulatory System and Of Montreal best, but I haven't really attacked the rest of them yet.
